a5c7b9f00b A US sub picks up Navy SEALs and receives an order for a nuke launch. Due to the circumstances of the order, the Captain refuses to fire. After escaping an attack from another US sub, the crew and SEALs take refuge on a small island. 500 feet beneath the ocean's surface, the U.S. ballistic missile submarine Colorado receive their orders. Over a radio channel, designed only to be used if their homeland has been wiped out, they're told to fire nuclear weapons at Pakistan. Captain Marcus Chaplin demands confirmation of the orders only to be unceremoniously relieved of duty by the White House. XO Sam Kendal finds himself suddenly in charge of the submarine and facing the same difficult decision. When he also refuses to fire without confirmation of the orders, the Colorado is targeted, fired upon, and hit. The submarine and its crew find themselves crippled on the ocean floor, declared rogue enemies of their own country. Now, with nowhere left to turn, Chaplin and Kendal take the sub on the run and bring the men and women of the Colorado to an exotic island. Here they will find refuge, romance and a chance at a new life, eventhey try to clear their names and get home. I haven't see so good show like this, for a while. Alias show could be one of them and Person of Interests, Jericho is close to them. Good action, at the end, good conclusion can be made, acting is better than expected. Good atmosphere, picture. All in all, everything is in superlative. Just to ask yourself, how come is possible to fire two missile even on Pakistan, not saying on USA without be noticed from their domestic air defense. That's the big question. What do they think, that defense army is sleeping. By my opinion, there isn't better mark out of 9, because soon or latter something better will come. So the previous mark, if it was 10 out of 10, will make no sense. There are too many flaws in this dreck to list them all but suffice to say it is unrealistic in virtually every way. If you are the type of viewer that expects plausibility in your military/political dramas you will be totally disappointed. If, however, you are unfamiliar with the U.S. Navy and its ballistic submarine force and it doesn't matter to you that missile sub sailors can doublespecial forces land soldiers or you believe that it is permissible for junior officers and/or enlisted crew to question orders of national security and argue with the captain you might enjoy it.

The scenery is beautiful and there are plenty of close-ups of all the pretty sailors (some are even female) and the captain gets to clench his jaws frequently enough to make viewers believe he is a serious officer (although he and the Chief of the Boat call each other by their first names).

The only thing worse than watching this fabricated fairy tale is acting in it.
